About Diesel Training Group
Technical Information
DTG is designed to provide technical information, description of manufacturer's diesel fuel systems, and diagnostic information needed to repair issues. These issues can be related to driveability concerns, fuel economy, and no start situations.
Education
DTG provides training on light and medium duty diesel applications. There are a series of steps you can take depending on your level of education and experience. Apprentice? We can provide information and training to aid in your development. Attitude is important! Your ability to have a positive approach to learn and apply techniques will build your level of expertise. Experienced technicians and service writers can continue to learn technical aspects of today’s trucks by participating in on-going training.
Training
Training is never ending. As new model year vehicles roll out, new upgrades and technology are introduced. As independent or fleet technicians, we are constantly struggling to find accurate information to aid in everyday driveability issues found in trucks. Training will be made available from not just our active instructor but other representatives from our industry. Types of training vary. There are webinars, roundtable discussions, and hands-on classes offered in certain locations. Topics will vary but, having an understanding of engine mechanical components and skilled in electrical are mandatory for a competent and successful technician.
